How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
If your home has pets, children, smokers, or just high foot traffic in general, you will need a
cleaning more often than the alternative.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, you should have your carpet professionally cleaned
twice a year. This helps keep your home and office free of dust mites and trapped pollutants that
can cause health hazards and bad indoor air quality.
Does CARPET PROTECTOR really work?
Absolutely. Carpet protector is an outstanding product that is highly recommended. In fact, most new
carpet has a protector on it — applied by the carpet manufacturer. However, protectors wear off
because of traffic on the carpet, frequent vacuuming, etc. We recommend reapplying after every
professional cleaning.
Which professional method of carpet cleaning is best?
We use a method called "truck-mounted hot water extraction," more commonly known as "steam
cleaning." This method is by far the most popular because carpet manufacturers recommend it — it
picks up the dirt without harming the fabric.
This process helps to loosen the grime, dirt, debris, and soil that can lurk — often unseen — in
your carpets.
What should I do to prepare for the professional carpet cleaning?
We strongly recommend that you vacuum beforehand, though it's not mandatory. If you don't vacuum,
please make sure all visible debris is removed. We will move furniture if necessary and within
reason.
(We do NOT move heavy furniture) Therefore, pianos, bookcases, fish tanks, armoires, etc.,
will not be moved.
Although our expert technicians are mindful of your home, sometimes accidents happen. Please
remove all fragile items and décor, so we don't accidentally damage any of your
belongings.
Also, we do love animals, but while cleaning, please make sure your pet is secured in a separate
area.
Lastly, please have a clear driveway for our technician to pull into.
Will all of the stains come out?
Our stain-removal success rate is very high. We've seen it all! :) However, we cannot guarantee that
we can remove all stains. Some are difficult or simply impossible to completely remove, but we will
do everything we can to set your expectations before cleaning.
How long until I can walk on my carpets?
You can walk on your carpets as soon as we walk out the door, but we recommend a very limited
traffic path until it's entirely dry.
On flat surfaces, like tile and hardwood, be careful when wet, because it will be slippery.
Do you seal tile and grout as well when you clean my floors?
Most homeowners have us seal their grout after cleaning. Sealing helps protect your investment on
your like-new floors after cleaning.
How do you treat pet stains and odor? Is there an extra charge for the treatment?
We understand that pet accidents happen, causing odor and discoloration in your carpets. If not
properly treated, urine can create a breeding ground for bacteria and an unhealthy
environment.
Most of our pet treatments require additional cost, and the technician will discuss those cost
options before beginning treatment. Any additional service recommended by a technician is
optional.
Our certified technicians will be able to discuss all the options, costs, and solutions with you
when they inspect your home and review the existing conditions.
What about area rugs? Can you clean them in the home? ... Or do you take them off-site?
We can clean some types of area rugs in your home as long as there are no issues in the rug, such as
urine, blood, feces, or vomit.
Oriental, Persian, and delicate rugs would need to be taken offsite to be properly and safely
cleaned.
